Kundra & Associates, is a small boutique law firm located in Rockville, MD. We are looking for a full-time tax associate armed with an LLM in tax and/or a CPA to join our team to collaborate with others in producing excellent results for our clients and co-create a fun and exciting work environment.

Our passion and focus are on achieving efficient and effective results for our clients. With nearly three decades

of tax law experience, we have the analytical resources, advocacy skills, depth of knowledge and dedication

necessary to deal effectively with various taxing authorities. These capabilities have enabled us to become one

of the premier tax law firms dealing with domestic and international tax defense.

Our ideal candidate has a strong working knowledge of tax law, excellent organization, research, communication and

negotiation skills. Experience in the areas of tax controversy, litigation, domestic and U.S. international tax controversy/compliance is preferred. Our ideal candidate creates strategies that work to achieve the client’s desired outcome. 

Qualifications:

Experience

·       Along with a JD, you must have substantial financial/accounting experience; ideally you have received a CPA/ LL.M. in tax or both

·       Minimum of 2-4 years practice as an attorney 

·       Two or more years of direct tax controversy and/or tax litigation will be considered in lieu of a CPA or LLM

·       U.S. international and domestic tax compliance, and tax litigation

·      A proven history of meeting all filing deadlines

·       Ability to handle evaluation, risk assessment and counseling on various complicated tax problems

Other/Communication

·       Strong working knowledge of tax law

·       Be adept at interacting with clients, taxing authorities, public accountants, other humans

·       Impeccable research and writing skills

·       Meets client deadlines and work extra hours when required

·       Meets daily billable hour goals
