General Liabilty Attorney

We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced General Liability Attorney to join our legal team. As a General Liability Attorney, you will handle a diverse caseload of general liability matters, including premises liability, personal injury, property damage, and other civil litigation claims. Your expertise in general liability law and litigation will be essential in providing effective representation and advocacy on behalf of our clients.

Responsibilities:

1. Case Management: Manage a caseload of general liability matters, including premises liability, slip and fall accidents, motor vehicle accidents, product liability, and other personal injury claims. Conduct case assessments, develop case strategies, and oversee all aspects of case management from inception to resolution.
2. Legal Research and Analysis: Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis on issues related to general liability law, statutes, regulations, and case law precedents. Assess liability exposure, evaluate damages, and provide legal opinions and recommendations to clients.
3. Defense Litigation: Represent clients in defense of general liability claims and lawsuits in state and federal courts. Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents, and conduct discovery, depositions, and trial preparation. Present oral arguments in court hearings and trials.
4. Negotiation and Settlement: Negotiate settlements and resolution of general liability claims on behalf of clients, including mediation, arbitration, and settlement conferences. Evaluate settlement offers, assess litigation risks, and advocate for favorable outcomes consistent with clients' interests.
5. Client Counseling: Provide strategic advice and guidance to clients facing general liability claims. Assist clients in understanding their legal rights and obligations, assessing potential risks, and making informed decisions regarding case resolution strategies.
6. Insurance Coverage Analysis: Analyze insurance policies and coverage issues related to general liability claims. Advise clients and insurance carriers on coverage disputes, policy interpretation, and defense obligations under insurance contracts.
7. Risk Management and Prevention: Provide proactive risk management advice and training to clients to minimize exposure to general liability claims. Review and draft contracts, agreements, and risk management policies to mitigate potential liability risks and ensure compliance with legal standards.
8. Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients by providing responsive and personalized legal services. Communicate effectively with clients to address their legal needs, provide updates on case progress, and offer strategic guidance and support.
