JOB INSIGHTS:


  • Our Clinical Staff Pharmacists are an integrated part of the multidisciplinary care team, serving as a resource for antimicrobial stewardship, medication safety, and optimized pharmaceutical dosing.
  • Clinical Staff Pharmacists provide pharmacy services to patients, nurses, physicians, and other medical staff by interpreting and evaluating the validity and safety of orders and prescriptions.
  • They integrate core clinical pharmacy knowledge, dispensing, and order review activities. Individuals will be expected to perform core clinical activities including order verification, pharmacokinetics, IV to PO, therapeutic interchange, and others as required.
  • These pharmacists work closely with support staff, providing direction as needed.
  • Willing to work nights
  • Shift timings: 22:30 - 8:30


EDUCATION:


  • A Doctor of Pharmacy Degree (preferred) or Bachelor of Science Degree from an ACPE accredited School of Pharmacy is required.
  • ASHP-accredited Pharmacy Residency or equivalent experience preferred.
  • A licensed Pharmacist in the State of Vermont is required.


EXPERIENCE:

  • Two years of clinical pharmacist experience in a health system is preferred.
