Summary

We are recruiting for a qualified Paint Supervisor with a strong background in manufacturing and leadership. The ideal candidate will have completed a technical/vocational program, bringing a valuable skill set to the role. With a minimum of 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, including 2+ years in a supervisory/managerial capacity, the Paint Supervisor will be pivotal in overseeing painting operations.

Compensation

Compensation is highly lucrative, consisting of an annual base salary + bonus + full, comprehensive benefits.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the production planning team to schedule paint and deliveries for upcoming shipping days.
  • Coordinate external trucks and drivers for shipping requirements.
  • Plan and manage the receiving of incoming materials.
  • Ensure quality control for products entering paint and shipping to customers.
  • Supervise painting, forklift deliveries, and goods movement through group leaders.
  • Generate bills, delivery tickets, and bills of lading for customer shipments.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in paint, material storage, and shipping areas.
  • Conduct monthly finished goods counts and provide reports.
  • Oversee testing and reporting of all paint functions.
  • Place orders for paint and shipping supplies as required.
  • Prioritize a Safety-First approach and possess experience in maintaining a safe shop floor environment.
  • Familiarity with TAKT and Std Cost Efficiency Reporting.
  • Understand maintenance of the equipment.
  • Understand environmental hazards and maintain paint inventory.
  • Train, manage, and motivate the right people to be effective.
  • Follow the schedule and understand demand.


Education, Skills, and Experience

  • Completion of a technical/vocational program is advantageous.
  • A minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Minimum 2+ years of supervisory/managerial experience.
  • Experience with industrial paint application and various coating materials (i.e., epoxy, polyurethanes).
  • Experience with industrial and air-less spray guns.
  • Proficient in logistics operations.
  • Previous hands-on painting experience, including familiarity with paint booth setup, quality control, etc.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and organizational abilities are essential.
  • Prior exposure to 5S and expertise in lean manufacturing techniques.
