Job Description:

• We seek a skilled and compassionate Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team.
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for drawing blood samples from patients, verifying patient identities, labeling samples accurately, and ensuring the proper handling and transportation of specimens.
• The Phlebotomist will work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Perform venipuncture and capillary puncture to obtain blood specimens from patients.
• Verify patient identities and ensure proper identification of specimens.
• Label all samples accurately and complete requisition forms as required.
• Follow established protocols and safety procedures to minimize the risk of contamination and infection.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including proper disposal of biohazardous materials.
• Assist with specimen processing and transportation as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families, addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
• Adhere to HIPAA regulations and always maintain patient confidentiality.
• Participate in continuing education and training programs to stay updated on best practices and new developments in phlebotomy.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited phlebotomy training program.

Certification:

• Phlebotomist
