Looking for a Site Director/Plant Manager. The role is located in Peoria, IL. 

Responsible for leading all aspects of the success of the site in areas of growth and execution.  This role must ensure a safe and healthy work environment is maintained for the employees. While also protecting the people and environment of the surrounding area. The expectation is to deliver on all key operations measurables including safety, environmental, quality, production, spending, and delivery to customers.

 

 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Provide appropriate coaching and performance feedback to all direct reports(5) and assure that the same is done for all site employees (80).
  • Develop and execute appropriate strategies for all components of production.
  • Work with the Union to maintain a good working relationship.
  • Ensure continuous improvements in all areas of manufacturing in compliance with appropriate regulations while controlling spending and capital budgets.
  • Ensure production capacity to meet customer needs and execute plans to provide for future requirements.
  • Responsible for proactive community relations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering, MBA in Business highly preferred
  • 5-10 years of experience as a Plant Manager, Maintenance Manager, or Production Manager, out of Chemical Manufacturing.
  • Hazardous Material and PSM experience is a MUST
  • Union experience is highly preferred
