GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Audio Visual Support Specialist is responsible for organizing and maintaining accurate files regarding the schedule of meetings needing audio visual support. This role involves performing routine maintenance and minor repairs on audio visual equipment to ensure effective operation throughout the property.


PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Set up and monitor audio visual equipment during high-profile executive meetings and events.
  2. Transport, set up, and install media equipment and audio visual support tools, including speakers, monitors, cameras, and equipment racks.
  3. Set up and perform electrical wiring, programming, and basic construction according to layout diagrams and schedules.
  4. Develop and maintain good relationships with clients.
  5. Run tests on videos, audio, and signals, and troubleshoot any problems that arise.
  6. Handle equipment malfunctions and ensure flawless execution of meetings and events.
  7. Perform cleaning, maintenance, or repairs on audio visual equipment as needed.
  8. Carry out other related duties as assigned.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Associate’s degree in audio visual technology or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience supporting audio visual equipment and corporate meetings.
  • Certified Audio Specialist (CTS) certification.
  • Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted.


REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Strong working knowledge of audio visual equipment and software.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail and flexibility.


SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Obtain and maintain a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Airport Identification/Access Badge in accordance with Department of Homeland Security Transportation Security Administration (TSA) requirements within thirty (30) days from date of employment.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Department of Homeland Security Customs and Border Protection (CBP) security access clearance within thirty (30) days from date of employment.
  • Pass a drug test prior to employment and submit to random drug screenings as this is a designated safety-sensitive position.
  • Attendance is required during emergencies or inclement weather as this is a designated Essential Employee position.
  • Valid Texas registration as a Professional Engineer or Architect or ability to secure a Texas registration through reciprocity within six months of employment.


DESIRABLE:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in audio visual technology or related field.
  • Certified Audio Engineer (CAE).
  • Extron AV Associate.
  • 7+ years’ experience supporting audio visual equipment and corporate meetings.
