HR Generalist 

The HR Generalist will review, evaluate, and support organizational policies, procedures, and functions to find areas of improvement that will enhance efficiency and effectiveness across the organization.   

 

What You’ll Do 

The HR Generalist will report to the People Operations Manager and is responsible for: 

  • Managing and maintaining all facets of the onboarding cycle for office and remote employees ensuring timely processing and compliance: New Hire paperwork, HRIS processing and management, administering I-9s & E-Verify, and payroll coordination. 
  • Managing and maintaining all employee changes by processing required paperwork and ensuring employee records are updated within the HRIS system. 
  • Partnering with the People Operations Manager on the implementation of projects. 
  • Performing benefits administration including change reporting, auditing and approving invoices for payment, open enrollment, and communicating benefit information to employees, all while providing exceptional service. 
  • Partnering with the People Operations Manager to manage leave of absence requests, accommodations, and compliance.  
  • Partnering with Paylocity on the coordination and reconciliation of payroll data. 
  • Managing all aspects of payroll including: multi-state tax registration, compliance, and reconciliation. Assisting with various administrative duties, as needed. These job duties will be reviewed on an ongoing basis and are subject to change. 

 

If you were here today, you would be:  

  • Conducting the onboarding process for new employees that includes coordinating benefits, first-week support for new employees, and educating on organization and employee handbook policies.  
  • Handling the day-to-day management of the benefits and payroll for the organization.  
  • Managing the process and implementation of our new payroll system. 
  • Managing additional HR tasks, projects, and recruitment assistance as assigned.

Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field preferred 
  • Minimum 3+ years of hands-on HR-related experience performing the tasks listed above.  
  • HRIS experience (ADP, Paychex, Paylocity is a plus). 
  • Experience working in companies with multiple geographical locations across the globe. 

Physical Requirements:  

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, working on a computer, and video conferencing. 
  • Use of standard office equipment. 
  • Light travel. 

 

What Else You Should Know 

The position is a 20-29 hours (part-time) per week position with the ability for full-time and is remote-based, or where we have offices in Washington, D.C., or Concord, N.H.
