The ideal candidate will be able to appropriately identify the needs of both new and current customers in order to aid customers in their success using our engineering services and manufacturing. This will be done by developing an appropriate level of communication with clients and internal team members to better understand and mitigate any issues the customers may face.

Lite MAg is a rapidly growing manufacturing company that specializes in magnesium and aluminum Design , Machining, and castings for the aerospace and defense industries

What you will do:

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with 2-4 years of experience


  • Experience in finite element numerical mechanical design analysis packages (i.e


  • ANSYS, Abaqus, etc.)


  • Experience with prototyping, metalworking, manufacturing, and/or high-rate production


  • Hands-on mechanical design aptitude and problem-solving skills


What we are seeking:


  • Design, modeling, analysis, prototyping, and validation of mechanical components and manufacturing processes


  • Use of CAD software to create concept and detailed solid models and assemblies as well as prototype and production release technical drawings and data packages


  • Understanding of GD&T and its application including tolerance stack up and assembly fitment


  • Perform analysis including structural Finite Element Analysis (FEA), nonlinear dynamic FEA, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), and traditional hand calculations in support of product and manufacturing system development and design


  • Hands-on mechanical prototyping and iterative design with a focus on problem-solving and developing rapid solutions


  • Create custom tooling and fixtures as needed to support prototype manufacturing and scale-up


  • Support test and validation to ensure products meet design specifications, including use of precision metrology equipment (optical comparator, non-contact camera and laser systems, coordinate measurement machines, micrometers, etc.)


  • Understanding of traditional and advanced manufacturing processes and their impact to product design and manufacturing
