Role Description: We are seeking a talented C++ Software Engineer to join our Core Infrastructure team focused on high-frequency trading. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing low-latency trading systems and infrastructure components critical to our trading operations. You will work closely with traders, quantitative researchers, and other engineering teams to build robust, scalable, and highly performant software solutions that drive our trading strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement high-performance C++ software components for low-latency trading systems.
- Optimize code for speed, memory usage, and reliability to achieve ultra-low latency execution.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure tools and libraries used by trading algorithms and strategies.
- Collaborate with quantitative researchers and traders to understand requirements and implement trading strategies efficiently.
- Conduct performance analysis and profiling to identify bottlenecks and optimize system performance.
- Work closely with network engineers and hardware specialists to maximize system throughput and minimize latency.
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and technical meetings to ensure high-quality software delivery.
- Stay updated on the latest technologies, trends, and best practices in high-frequency trading and electronic markets.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in software development with a strong focus on C++ programming.
- Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
- Experience developing low-latency, high-throughput software systems for financial trading or similar real-time applications.
- Proficiency in multi-threading, concurrency, and parallel processing techniques.
- Knowledge of network programming, TCP/IP, UDP, and socket-level communication.
- Familiarity with Linux operating systems and shell scripting.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for performance optimization.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in the financial industry, particularly in high-frequency trading or electronic markets.
- Knowledge of electronic trading protocols and order execution strategies.
- Familiarity with market data feeds, order execution platforms, and exchange connectivity.
- Understanding of hardware acceleration techniques such as FPGA or GPU programming.
- Previous experience with low-level system programming, kernel development, or device drivers.
