They are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Procurement to join their team and lead their procurement function with strategic vision and operational excellence.

Position Overview: The Director of Procurement will be responsible for overseeing and managing the procurement activities across the organization. This role will involve developing and implementing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring cost-effective purchasing of all materials and services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement within the chemicals industry and possess excellent leadership and negotiation skills.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with company goals and objectives.
  • Lead and manage the procurement team, providing direction, coaching, and development opportunities.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure high-quality and cost-effective procurement.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers to secure advantageous terms.
  • Monitor and manage procurement budgets, ensuring cost control and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment of procurement strategies with overall business goals.
  • Analyze market trends and conditions to identify opportunities for cost savings and improved efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and company policies.
  • Implement and maintain procurement systems and processes to improve efficiency and transparency.
  • Prepare and present reports on procurement activities, performance, and improvement initiatives.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the chemicals industry.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful procurement strategies.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of procurement best practices, market trends, and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience with procurement software and systems.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment.


Salary: The estimated market value salary for this role ranges from $140,000 to $180,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
