Workday Developer – Prism Specialist

Note: This is a hybrid onsite role in Reston, VA.


Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Workday Developer with expertise in Prism Analytics to join our team. This role involves working closely with the finance team to develop and maintain financial software applications, ensuring data is seamlessly integrated and operational within the Workday ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Workday, Prism Analytics, and related integration solutions, coupled with the ability to work independently and collaboratively on complex development tasks.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, test, and deploy Workday integration solutions using EIB, Core Connectors, Cloud Connect, and Workday Studio.
  • Develop and maintain Workday Financials solutions, with a focus on Accounting Center and Prism Analytics pipeline development.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to understand business needs and translate them into functional software applications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues requiring in-depth expertise in Workday solutions.
  • Ensure software responsiveness, efficiency, and security by performing rigorous testing and maintenance.
  • Identify, prioritize, and execute tasks in the software development life cycle.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to enhance and optimize Workday products.
  • Provide post-production support for Workday implementation, including Prism Analytics, Studio Integrations, and data analysis.


Qualifications and Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in Finance ERP/Accounting systems development.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience working with the Workday platform, with a focus on Prism Analytics pipeline development.
  • In-depth knowledge of Workday Financials, specifically the Accounting Center component.
  • Strong understanding of Workday Security protocols and practices.
  • Proven experience in Workday integration design and deployment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.


Preferred Skills:

  • Hands-on experience with Workday implementation and post-production support.
  • Expertise in data analysis and security within the Workday ecosystem.
  • Certifications: Will help if the candidate has Workday Prism certification.
