Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Fire Sprinkler Designer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing fire sprinkler systems that meet safety standards and client specifications, ensuring the effectiveness and reliability of fire protection systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and prepare detailed fire sprinkler system plans and specifications.
  • Conduct hydraulic calculations to ensure system effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Work collaboratively with engineers, architects, and contractors to integrate fire protection systems into building designs.
  • Ensure all designs comply with NFPA standards and local codes.
  • Review and approve shop drawings and submittals from contractors.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to project managers during installation and testing phases.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in fire protection technology and design techniques.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Fire Sprinkler Designer or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of NFPA codes and standards.
  • NICET certification in fire protection preferred.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and other design software.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
