My client is a small, Southern New Hampshire-based developer of custom infrared cameras/modules with emerging applications for medical, environmental, communications, semicon & DoD markets.


Position: A Technical Program Manager/Lead Engineer to oversee daily operations of customer-funded projects and serve as the de-facto #2 person, reporting to the company President. (Onsite role)


Experience infrared/electro-optical systems would be preferable, understand modern design practices, and possess strong communication, organizational & customer-interfacing skills.


Early career experience in a product development role (vs. administrative/ops mgt. alone) is a critical component to this position.


Responsibilities:


  • Identify programmatic/technical requirements (based on proposal, SoW & technical specs)
  • Lead efficient fulfillment of all requirements
  • Define work breakdown structures and produce/update appropriate schedules
  • Ensure strong team communication. Develop strong working relationship with tech-leads
  • Understand contracts, T&Cs, FAR & DFAR clauses
  • Lead/participate in regularly scheduled TIMs
  • Identify risks & changes to programs and properly coordinate
  • Engineering design task(s) may include use of SolidWorks or FEA


Customer Management

  • Develop strong customer relationships - cultivate follow-on assignments
  • Travel to customer site
  • Develop in/external reports
  • Participate in or prepare bids/proposals


Education/Experience/Skills:

  • BS/MS ME/EE -10+ years sensor-based (electro-optical) products for a DoD environment
  • Prior customer interaction to resolve technical needs.
  • Strong Communication/Client Management Skills
  • Mechanical Design, Optical Alignment, Electronic Test/Integration Processes


  • Relocation assistance available for an ideal candidate.


Compensation: Total package of $200k+ (Quarterly/Annual Bonuses: Worth up to 11%) and an

equity stake worth 10% year's salary in Years 1 & 2, with 7% in each subsequent year
