Job Description:


We are seeking an associate attorney to join our team, focusing on insurance defense, medical malpractice, and labor and employment law. In this role, you will:

• Handle a diverse caseload, providing comprehensive legal services in civil defense litigation.

• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, and prepare motions and briefs.

• Represent clients in court, mediation, and arbitration.

• Collaborate with partners and other team members to develop case strategies.

• Maintain client communications and manage case files effectively.

• Stay current with developments in relevant areas of law.

You will also have the opportunity to work on cases involving toxic tort, environmental, or administrative law, although experience in these areas is not required.



Qualifications:


• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

• Licensed to practice law in Missouri and eligible for licensure in Illinois.

• 3-6 years of experience in civil defense litigation, with a preference for experience in insurance defense, medical malpractice, and labor and employment law.

• Strong research, writing, and general communication skills.

• Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• Highly motivated and organized professional capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines.

Preferred but not required:

• Experience in toxic tort, environmental, or administrative law
