We are seeking a skilled and experienced Foreman Electrician to join our team for the installation of EV charging solutions. The initial project is based in Pittsburg, CA, with mandatory and frequent travel up to 100 miles from Pittsburg, and potential travel for subsequent projects. This role requires a strong leader who can manage a turnkey crew and ensure high-quality installations in a variety of settings.
Location: Pittsburg, CA (with frequent travel up to 100 miles from Pittsburg, CA and additional travel as needed)
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a 2-man crew, including an experienced electrician and an apprentice/helper.
- Oversee all aspects of electrical installations for EV charging stations.
- Perform underground conduit installation, minor excavation, and concrete foundation installation.
- Read and interpret blueprints, conduct material takeoffs, and ensure accurate electrical terminations.
- Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and project managers.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.
- Travel frequently to various project sites within 100 miles of Pittsburg, CA, with an average job duration of 2 weeks per site, and additional travel as required for project needs.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an electrician, with the ability to work independently and manage small projects.
- Proficiency in underground conduit installation, minor excavation, concrete foundation installation, blueprint reading, material takeoff, and electrical terminations.
- Experience with EV charger installation and commissioning is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to travel frequently as required for project needs.
- Must possess a reliable vehicle and a full set of electrical tools.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Competitive salary based on experience.
- Hotel accommodations provided for projects over 100 miles from the traveler’s home (1 room per installer).
- Per diem rate of $60 per day for travel exceeding 100 miles from home.
- Mileage reimbursement at a rate of 67 cents per mile.
- Standard working hours of 40 hours per week, with an average job duration of 2 weeks per site.
