Superior Skilled Trades is seeking Shipfitters for immediate hire in Tampa, FL

PAY:$28/hour

HOURS/WK:40

DURATION:3+ Months

SHIPFITTER RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine shipfitting requirements

- Cut, shape, and fit metal components to form parts of ships using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment

- Assemble and tack-weld components together to prepare for final welding

- Align and fit parts according to specifications using calipers, rulers, and other measuring instruments

- Inspect completed work for quality and accuracy

- Maintain a clean and organized work area

SHIPFITTER REQUIREMENTS:

- Previous experience in shipfitting or a related field is preferred

- Proficiency in sheet metal fabrication techniques

- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair is a plus

- Ability to solder and assemble metal components

- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in shipfitting

- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality standards

- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints

- Physical stamina and ability to work in a physically demanding environment

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States
  • Must have reliable transportation to the job site
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen
