Lead Data Engineer Opportunity: Hybrid Role in Chicago

As the Lead Data Engineer, you’ll be at the helm of a team responsible for designing and enhancing a sophisticated reporting platform that leverages big data to deliver client-centric insights. Collaborating closely with Product Management, Solutions Enablement, agency partners, and clients, you will play a pivotal role in producing scalable, automated reporting solutions that drive efficiency, enable data-driven decisions, and solve complex marketing challenges.




Team Leadership


  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of data engineers and BI developers, fostering growth, performance excellence, and high team morale.


Qualifications


  • Leadership Experience: leading a team of 2+ developers to deliver impactful data solutions.
  • Data Visualization Expertise: experience with Tableau (preferred), Power BI, or Qlik.
  • SQL Proficiency: Advanced SQL skills for data querying and manipulation.
  • Big Data Tools: Experience with big data technologies like Databricks, Druid, or similar platforms.
  • ETL and Data Modelling: Working on ETL processes, data modeling, data warehousing, and handling large datasets.
  • Orchestration Tools: Hands-on experience with Airflow or similar workflow automation tools.
  • Cloud Platforms: Practical experience with Amazon Redshift, Databricks, and cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Ad Technology Knowledge: Strong understanding of ad technologies, including programmatic, display, search, and social platforms, ad servers, RTB platforms, ad exchanges, and analytics systems.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a proven ability to lead discussions and drive thought leadership.
  • Industry Experience: Background in digital marketing, programmatic advertising, or analytics.
