Summary: Scheduling is responsible for meeting the customers’ requirements for delivery by utilizing our MRP system (IQMS) and working closely with our manufacturing and customer service team. Further goals are set to optimize inventory accuracy, turnover, and cost-effective manufacturing.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Schedule manufacturing using progressive tools in IQMS and lean manufacturing techniques
  • Assess machine capacity and report availability to meet needs of our customers, support business planning, and feasibility for new business
  • Create and Maintain BOMS (Bill of Materials)
  • Work closely with Production Manager to optimize staffing levels
  • Enter work orders into IQMS
  • Oversee and manage outside processing of third party assembly
  • Meet and report FG inventory turnover goals
  • Meet and report on time delivery goals
  • Assure on-time delivery and coordination with customer service to assure customers are informed in a timely manner of any delivery issues
  • Prepare monthly reports documenting achievement towards meeting cost savings and strategic goals
  • Pursue goals for cost savings
  • Show continuous improvement in scheduling techniques
  • Utilize 8D tools with the supply base to correct nonconformance and to achieve continuous improvement
  • Perform other related duties as required
  • Minimum 1 year experience applicable scheduling experience (automotive preferred)

Experience/Skills:

  • Good math aptitude, planning, problem solving and oral/written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Comfortable working both independently and within a team
  • Minimum 1 year scheduling experience (manufacturing preferred)

Educational Requirements/Certifications:

  • 4 year college degree in business related field preferred
  • CPIM highly desirable
  • Working knowledge of ERP system scheduling, MRP modules, (IQMS preferred), EDI and internet and Windows based computer programs.
