Background:

The Group develops resilient, integrated missile defense solutions through threat characterization, advanced technology development, prototyping, and testing. Our work is critical to the defense of the United States, deployed forces, and allies from missile attacks. This group performs detailed system and component engineering, flight and ground test analysis, and advanced capability development in collaboration with the contractors and government program offices that are developing the missile defense elements and components.


Responsibilities:

The Group is seeking an experienced programmer to provide software development, implementation and maintenance of C, C++, FORTRAN, and MATLAB applications in support of data reduction and visualization tasks common across many of the Group’s data analysis efforts. The candidate will develop tools for data processing and analysis which are used both internally by Laboratory data analysts and by third-party users in support of sponsor objectives. The programmer will perform development, integration and testing of the software and will also be tasked with the maintenance and release of software updates as needed.


Must Have:

- At least 5 years of software programming experience with Linux/Unix, Windows, MATLAB, FORTRAN, Java, Python and C/C++.

- Experience working with configuration and control packages to maintain software baselines.


Nice to Have:

- The ideal candidate will have experience and understanding of basic radar functions and general radar recording methodologies. This includes radar tracking and signal processing concepts such as ballistic/Keplerian motion, pulse compression, and Coherent processing.

- Experience with DevSecOps and developing in a secure environment a plus.

- Experience with developing for operational platforms a plus.

- Experience with WebServices and Net Centricity a plus.

- Familiarity with Solaris a plus.


Education & Experience: Bachelor's plus 5+ Years of relevant work experience.
