This candidate will be responsible for the development, implementation, maintenance, and improvement of quality assurance processes. Throughout the implementation and maintenance process, this candidate should use data analysis to better understand quality reporting measures and improve processes.

Core Job Requirements, Responsibilities and Skills:

  • Champion of all customer quality concerns, internal and external; this includes scheduling and leading meetings, tracking and closing corrective actions.
  • Support all production needs related to process controls & product quality as necessary.
  • Champion of supplier quality assurance for the facility including supplier launch readiness, APQP, PPAP, and concern management.
  • Working knowledge of Core Tools
  • Champion internal quality initiatives including conducting plant training.

Additional Preferred Skills and Requirements:

  • Highly motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of measurement systems, and process control techniques
  • Strong problem-solving skills and root cause analysis skills.
  • Proven experience in leading others with a proactive attitude
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work in teams in a continuous improvement environment
  • Support all internal process and product improvement projects.
  • Conduct statistical analysis to help prevent problems in the manufacturing process and measurement initiatives.
  • Conduct supplier, customer, and internal QMS audits.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret various data trends and patterns or other indications of process and system problems.
  • Provide manufacturing support to implement quality improvements (e.g., defect analysis, data analysis, and lead quality improvement teams).
  • Ability to back up the Quality Manager from time to time.

Education and Experience:

· Three to five years professional experience in a Quality Engineering role, or equivalent, with a manufacturing or assembly background preferred.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Mini Tab.
