Job Title: Sr. Azure Cloud Architect

Location: Princeton, NJ (Hybrid: 3 days in-office, 2 days work-from-home)

Duration: 4-6 Months Contract

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Sr. Azure Cloud Architect to lead the design, implementation, and improvement of our cloud infrastructure and architecture. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 15 years of professional experience, including at least 6 years in cloud projects, with hands-on expertise in Azure services. The candidate should excel in reviewing current architecture and establishing industry-leading best practices to enhance performance, security, and scalability.


Responsibilities:

  • Review existing architecture documentation and standards.
  • Identify essential architectural standards and integrate them into the overall framework.
  • Conduct interviews with technical leads, architects, engineers, and stakeholders to gather requirements.
  • Define and document clear technical success criteria.
  • Analyze current architectural patterns to identify gaps and areas for improvement.
  • Develop future-state architecture guidelines and standards in line with Zensar and industry best practices.
  • Establish Azure Cloud Architecture standards, including the integration of AI/ML and automation.
  • Assess current processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency.
  • Define guidelines and standards for security architecture.
  • Review APIs and establish best practices for integration patterns.
  • Evaluate the existing GitHub branch strategy and code merge process, recommending improvements.
  • Review the current DevOps pipeline and propose enhancements for continuous deployment.
  • Assess the current production support process, including ITSM tools, and suggest improvements for post-live processes.
  • Refine and document in-scope technical details and support the rollout of new standards and best practices.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 15+ years of experience in IT with a focus on cloud architecture.
  • 6+ years of experience working on cloud projects, with an emphasis on Azure.
  • Hands-on expertise in Azure Cloud Services, including PaaS and SaaS.
  • Strong background in creating architecture and design guidelines.
  • Proven experience in developing and establishing standards for Azure Cloud Architecture, security, and integration.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools, as well as GitHub for code management.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate with various teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience with ITSM tools and production support processes.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in AI/ML and automation within cloud architecture.
  • Certification in Azure Solutions Architect Expert or similar.
  • Experience with process improvement and establishing best practices for cloud development and deployment.
