Project Process Engineer

Airswift has been tasked by one of our major Oil & Gas clients to seek a Project Process Engineer to join them initially on a 12-month assignment in Luling, LA Project Process Engineer


Responsibilities:

• Identify and complete all process engineering design/project deliverables when required.

• Work with area personnel and management to develop project justification.

• Lead review of outside engineering firm process engineering analysis for assigned projects.

• Lead assigned projects from concept definition, FEL 1/2/3, detailed design, and construction through to project closure.

• Validate project improvements and cost savings associated with the project after implementation. • Mark up P&IDs as required for all assigned projects.

• Modification of PFDs, material, and energy balances.

• Modification of other pertinent parts of the PMF (operating procedures, JTA’s, LOTO’s, etc.)

• Develop process control definitions for assigned projects. Provide process datasheets for instrumentation/equipment as required.

• Work with unit personnel to develop and execute operator training for projects.

• Lead project MOCs/HSE/Pre-Startup-Safety Reviews working with project/unit personnel.

• Lead all assigned project PHA’s and reviews up to and including hazard and operability studies.

• Ensure that all aspects of a modification or project meet environmental regulations.

• Work with area engineers to assist in checkout, commissioning, and startup of new projects.

• Provide technical assistance in troubleshooting plant issues with unit personnel as required.


Preferred Experience:

• 1-5 years of Chemical/Process Engineering experience in a chemical manufacturing facility

• Experience leading and executing capital projects in a chemical manufacturing facility.

• Experience with Equipment Sizing Calculations and Design (Pumps, Valves, Piping, Instruments)
