We’re looking for an experienced Tax Manager to join our clients corporate tax team in Newport Beach, CA.In this role, you’ll lead tax accounting and compliance efforts, focusing on ASC 740 tax accounting and reporting. You’ll collaborate across departments and provide technical guidance on complex tax matters. Key Responsibilities:Prepare and review consolidated tax provisions and related financial statement disclosuresHandle quarterly forecasting, including effective tax rate and cash tax projectionsManage uncertain tax positions under ASC 740Support external audits and ensure SOX/ICFR complianceResearch and advise on tax accounting initiativesProvide ASC 740 guidance to team membersPartner with accounting, finance, and treasury teams on tax mattersOversee integration and digitization of tax provision and compliance processesManage external advisors and special tax projectsWhat We’re Looking For:Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance6+ years of progressive tax experience (Big 4 + corporate preferred)Strong ASC 740 expertise; SSAP 101 a plusLife insurance industry experience preferredIdeal Candidate Traits:Independent, proactive, and detail-orientedStrong business acumen and project management skillsExcellent communication and writing abilitiesAdvanced Excel skills; experience with Longview and OneSource a plusFamiliarity with process improvement tools (Alteryx, Power BI)
