The Role
Our Hollywood, AL location is currently looking for a forward-thinking innovator and advocate for Quality. As a Quality Engineer, you will utilize your keen attention to detail, understanding of quality control methods, and ability to implement effective processes to drive the quality of our products throughout the entire plant.
Duties & Responsibilities
- advanced quality planning documents and participate in quality planning activities, including FMEA’s, Process Flow Diagrams, Control Charts, and Gage R&R and capability studies
- Process Change Requests and implement changes, respecting company standards and customer requirements
- customer requirements and expectations throughout the organization and develop systems to meet them
- and/or update quality documentation including Control Plans, PFMEA, DFMEA, DVP&R, PPAP preparation, etc.
- engineering processes and products for adherence to company and regulatory standards and practices
- in quality-improvement initiatives and projects
- quality reviews and internal audits; evaluate data and write reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards
- data and product specifications to determine standards and establish quality and reliability objectives of finished product
- modifications to existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability
- quality improvement parameters by identifying methods relevant to manufacturing processes
- feedback to customers based on quality projects (e.g., warranty, APQP, issues, etc.)
- / all other duties as assigned
Skills & Experience
- working as a Quality Engineer (or SQE) in an automotive or manufacturing environment
- with some or all of the following: DFMEA, PFMEA, process control plans, technical process documentation, APQP, PPAP, etc.
- strong analytical and problem solving-skills
- knowledge of quality engineering techniques
- in Engineering or a related technical discipline (equivalent experience accepted with relevant experience)
