Position Summary

Provide repairs and preventative maintenance for Biomedical equipment. Maintain records, document results, and coordinate outside resources for repairs.


Essential Duties

  • Perform repairs and calibrations to biomedical equipment and maintain service records.
  • Assist other personnel as required.
  • Research resources and suppliers.
  • Maintains work area in a neat and orderly fashion.
  • Participate in ongoing educational opportunities provided.
  • Work with auditing agencies and their requirements, i.e., ACHA and TJC.
  • Work with NFPA-99 and electrical leakage limits with a good understanding of biological parameters (monitoring; HR/Pulse O2/O2 sat/pressures/etc.)


Required Experience

  • One year of experience repairing Biomedical Equipment or a recent internship with an accredited program.
  • Preference is given to experience repairing hemodialysis, ventilators, or anesthesia equipment.
  • An associate degree in electronics from an accredited school or equivalent military experience is preferred.
