Position Description:
The CCUS Delivery Manager / Construction Superintendent is responsible for overseeing the planning,
execution, and completion of carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) projects. This role involves
managing construction activities, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations,
coordinating with various stakeholders and delivering the project on time and within budget.
- Project Planning and Management:
- Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to define project scope and objectives.
- Ensure all project deliverables are met according to specifications, quality standards, and deadlines.
- Construction Oversight:
- Supervise all construction activities, ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Manage construction crews, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and adherence to plans.
- Resource Management:
- Allocate resources effectively to ensure project milestones are achieved.
- Oversee procurement of materials and equipment necessary for the project.
- Manage project budget and control costs.
- Stakeholder Coordination:
- Act as the primary point of contact between the construction team and stakeholders, including clients, regulatory agencies, and local communities.
- Provide regular updates on project status, addressing any concerns or issues promptly.
- Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Ensure all construction activities comply with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including progress reports, change orders, and inspection records.
- Prepare and submit regular project reports to senior management and clients.
Requirements:
- Advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., PMP) preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction management, with a focus on industrial or energy projects. Experience in CCUS projects is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and safety standards.
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction projects.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
