Role Description

As an Associate Teacher at Atlas Public Schools, you will play a vital role in the classroom, working alongside a certified lead teacher throughout thr day ti support high-quality and engaging instruction. Youll be directly collaborating with Atlas’ Head of School, your partner teachers, and the larger school community to bring Atlas’ mission and vision to life. With your drive, creativity, and growth mindset, you’ll help foster a learning environment that emphasizes both academic excellence and social-emotional growth.


In this role, you will:

  • Share your love and passion for literacy and math with students, and inspire them to be lifelong learners

.

  • Support children in developing their critical thinking and problem solving skills.
  • Have the opportunity to develop within a growing environment.
  • Stay current with trends, innovations, and research in learning science, instructional media, and learner behavior

.

  • Work alongside families and community partners to provide the individualized support students need while holding extremely high expectations for them.
  • Work to educate the whole child by usuing our wxpanded definition of student success so all students have the habits, skills, and mindsets needed to thrive.

In order to work at Atlas Public Schools, you must:

  • Pass a background check completed by Family Care Safety Registry.
  • Provide official transcripts for any collegr coursework

  • Have a strong desire to work with elementary students in a formal setting.
  • Able to attain a substitute teaching certificate
  • Eligible to work in the United States
