Optomi, in partnership with a Propane company, is seeking a highly motivated and analytical Junior Data Analyst to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience in data analysis and visualization using Qlik View or Qlik Sense. As a Junior Data Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting the analysis and reporting needs of various departments within the organization with a primary focus on the Sales, Marketing and Operations departments. This is an excellent opportunity for a self-driven individual who is passionate about leveraging data to drive insights and support decision-making processes.


Technical Skills:

1-2 years of experience in data analysis and visualization, preferably using Qlik View or Qlik Sense.

Strong SQL skills for data extraction and manipulation.

Knowledge of data modeling concepts and best practices.

Experience with data visualization tools and techniques.



Core Duties/Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the scope and design of Qlik Sense applications. Particular focus will be in the following areas: Customer Profitability Analysis, Customer Churn Analysis, Customer Analytics and Trends. Additional focus will be on Lost Revenue Analysis across various business segments, including our rental, fuels, service, and labor businesses.
  • Assist with the presentation of dashboards and business discovery information to management and other key business users.
  • Collaborative Support: Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to understand their analytical needs and provide support in data analysis and visualization. Assist in ad-hoc data requests and contribute to ongoing projects.
  • Data Analysis: Collect, clean, and analyze data from various sources to help identify trends, patterns, and insights. Use QlikSense for visualizations and reports that effectively communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Reporting and Dashboard Creation: Assist with the design of dashboards, reports, and interactive visualizations using QlikSense. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their requirements and work with our Qlik developers to translate them into actionable visualizations.
