Position: Construction Project Manager


Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico


Are you a seasoned Construction Project Manager with a minimum of 5 years of commercial construction experience? Do you thrive in overseeing and directing projects in various sectors, including Offices, Education, Healthcare, Warehouse, and Retail? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join a team as a Construction Project Manager with a leading Commercial General Contractor based in Albuquerque, New Mexico.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with superintendents and foremen to plan, organize, and direct construction project activities.
  • Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within the boundaries of company policy and contract specifications.
  • Engage in discussions with supervisors and foremen on work procedures, address complaints, and resolve construction-related issues.
  • Initiate and maintain effective communication with owners and other stakeholders to facilitate project activities.
  • Monitor and control project progress through administrative direction of on-site foremen, ensuring completion on schedule and within budget.
  • Investigate and implement corrective measures for potentially serious situations.
  • Represent the company in project meetings and contribute to strategy discussions.
  • Collaborate with the contract administrator to manage financial aspects of contracts, protecting the company's interests while maintaining positive customer relationships.
  • Requisition supplies and materials necessary for project completion.
  • Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to administrative staff, workers, and clients.
  • Formulate comprehensive reports on work progress, costs, and scheduling.


Additional Responsibilities:

  • Review construction documents and thoroughly understand the scope of work for bidding purposes.
  • Execute take-offs of construction documents.
  • Obtain pricing for materials and bids from subcontractors.
  • Prepare cost analysis using computer platforms, calculating material, labor, equipment, subcontractor, and overhead costs for installations.
  • Make estimates when predetermined standards are not available.
  • Inform the immediate supervisor of any inaccuracies or omissions in quoted items or the computer database.
  • Develop and maintain resource information on products, vendors, subcontractors, government requirements, and other relevant data.
