HR DIRECTOR

We are seeking a skilled HR Director for our office in the East Atlanta area. This is a full-time, on-site, direct-hire opportunity


We will consider candidates who specifically have the following experience:

  1. Worked on-site for an internationally owned company
  2. Must have worked for a manufacturing company (automotive industry would be preferred)
  3. Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Director level role, with no gaps in their work history
  4. Experienced handling non-union labor relations
  5. Cannot have owned their own HR Consulting company (we need proven and verifiable experience)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Address and resolve employee relations issues
  • Drive positive employee relations to provide an optimal work environment for all employees
  • Work closely with clientele and other staff members to design and implement HR strategies to increase awareness of the employee value proposition and support greater employee engagement
  • Conduct market-competitiveness reviews and make recommendations for new or revised benefit plans
  • Advise and consult on individual benefit questions and issues with all employees both locally and nationwide
  • Manage a portfolio of moderate to complex projects and change initiatives
  • Develop and integrate plans that include project deliveries, strategic alignment, cost management, enterprise-wide impacts, milestones, and risks
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with others in management, HR Business partners, suppliers, vendors, and other teams to ensure successful execution and teamwork
  • Ensure all project workstreams are working together toward achieving goals and objectives



QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources (or related field) and 5 years’ experience
  • In-depth knowledge of employment law and HR practices with solid track record in managing/advising on complex/sensitive issues considering the impact of new legislation and devising new HR policies and procedures
  • Must display a high level of professionalism, have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Must possess strong knowledge of compliance laws, right to work, visa’s, work authorizations and overall identification verification
  • Possess a strong level of confidentiality
  • Be an innovative and creative thinker, that has previously been responsible for implementing ideas, changes, new plans, improvements, etc.
  • Must have worked previously for a large corporation
  • Have experience working with both direct hires and contingent workers
  • Strong knowledge of diversity and inclusion
  • Partner with internal groups on cross-functional projects, and sync practice across teams to maximize efficiency
  • Invite and promote constructive and ongoing feedback
  • Knowledge of safety requirements and training
  • Knowledge of production/manufacturing landscape
  • Have a collaborative leadership style with the ability to influence others into action and think creatively about solutions
