Millwright Mechanic

Overview:

Requires a substantial level of supervision most of the time.

Basic Requirements:

• High School Diploma or Equivalency
• 1-3 year’s experience with rotating equipment or turbo machinery
• Experience with rigging

Job Duties:

• Document and perform basic reassembly and dismantling of equipment using proper tooling and processes to complete all work in a safe and timely manner to meet customer needs
• Work in a team environment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Read and interpret prints and drawings.
• Follow verbal commands and leadership direction.
• Understanding of use for tooling, drawings, work scopes, procedures, specifications and documentation to perform the primary function of the job.
• Conduct processes for repairs.
• Operate forklifts and cranes.
• Basic knowledge and capacity to learn how to use various measuring devices: micrometers, indicators, calipers, gauges, and other required tools necessary to perform the job.
• Ability to learn to accurately measure and record all dimensional inspections as needed and pass annual dimensional inspection tests within a reasonable amount of time.
• Ability to learn and process documentation associated with turbo machinery such as inspection reports, photo logs, and hold tags.
• Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
• Accepts ownership over work performance and works to improve skill set.
• Other duties as assigned.
