IntePros is seeking a Medical Coder for one of the largest health insurers in the Philadelphia marketplace.


Responsibilities:

  • Ensures accurate medical coding related to technology assessments, medical policies, claim payment policies and adhoc coding projects.
  • Develops code lists for benefit application, mandate application, and group exception requests working closely with the various areas including; Legal department, Sales and Marketing, Product Operations and other key areas
  • Revises coding within policies in accordance with committee, management, medical director recommendations, or based on revision to policy.

Qualifications:

  • Coding Certification is required (CCS or CPC preferred). Candidate needs to be able to code.
  • Minimum of three years work experience in health care or health related position.
  • Demonstrated experience using medical coding systems, databases, and encoding tools.
  • Microsoft Office proficient (Word and Excel). Detail oriented with the ability to work with minimal instruction or supervision functioning independently as well as in the team setting.
