New Era Mental Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Therapist to join our team. As a Therapist, you will provide counseling and therapy services to individuals of all ages, with a focus on adults and families. You will work with clients dealing with various mental health issues, behavioral challenges, addiction, trauma, and developmental disabilities. You will also visit clients in adult family homes. Responsibilities:
- Conduct therapy sessions with clients to address their specific needs and goals
- Assess clients' mental health conditions and develop personalized treatment plans
- Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques to help clients overcome challenges
- Provide counseling for individuals, couples, families, and groups
- Assist clients in developing coping strategies and improving their overall mental health
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in compliance with legal and ethical standards
- Stay informed about the latest research and developments in the field of therapy
Experience:
To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications and experience:
- Proven experience in therapy or counseling, preferably with a focus on children, geriatrics and families
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques for children and adolescents
- Experience in providing care for individuals with PTSD, addiction issues, chronic pain, or developmental disabilities
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to mental health conditions
- Strong communication skills and the ability to establish rapport with clients
- Empathy, compassion, and a non-judgmental approach towards clients
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
