Location: Boise, ID



Summary:

Coordinates the procurement of materials, parts and packaging supplies for the organization to ensure on time delivery.


Duties:

  • Coordinates all activities related to procurement of a commodity beginning with initial purchase through delivery.
  • Assists in the setup of a constant stream of new products from the Product Development group. Contacts department and/or initiator to clarify or complete information for proper purchasing specifications and processes.
  • Evaluate each purchase minimums against vendor minimums; negotiate or suggest discontinuance of product.
  • Assures that the commodity is delivered on time, at the negotiated price and meets the quality standards of the company.
  • Maintains timely control of purchase orders, revisions, advance shipping notices, and other documents to assure on-time delivery from supplier.
  • Updates import costs and maintain import spreadsheet and warranty spreadsheet for imports.
  • Records and maintains cost savings spreadsheet.
  • Daily expediting of inbound purchased orders.
  • Maintain database of purchase orders, vendor/item, estimated time of arrivals and new quotes.
  • Provide demand plan to designated suppliers.


Education and Qualifications:

Associate degree or one to two years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
