Russell Tobin is hiring a HYBRID Assistant Purchasing Analyst to support our automotive client in Plymouth, MN This is a 3-month contract-to-hire opportunity.


Pay: $24 – 26/hr based on experience

Location: Bass Creek - Onsite for training, then transition to Hybrid (approximately 2-3 days onsite per week)

Contract Length: 3 months (Contract to hire)


TOP SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS

  • Microsoft Program Experience (ie. Excel)

  • Supply Chain/Purchasing Knowledge


JOB SUMMARY

  • Actively manage Parts, Garments & Accessories (PG&A) expedite, defer, and cancel messages for all purchase orders and assist Purchasing Analysts with back-order recovery.
  • Ensure on-time delivery of products to Polaris distribution facilities.
  • Coordinate with Demand Planning Analyst and Purchasing Analyst to ensure the proper quantities are purchased to achieve service level objectives.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITIES

  • Develop and foster relationships with select suppliers to drive consistent performance and improve back-order recovery
  • Review system recommended purchase quantities collaborating with demand planning analysts to improve accuracy
  • Ensure on-time delivery and support Purchasing Analysts by reviewing expedite, defer, and cancel messages as necessary to achieve fill-rate and inventory goals
  • Resolve backorder issues in accordance with goals
  • Work directly with suppliers to ensure system data integrity (cost, MOQ, lead-time, etc..)
  • Proactively identify and communicate urgent issues to supervisor
  • Other projects and duties as assigned


EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Strong aptitude to solve problems and improve processes
  • Strong ability to negotiate, influence and resolve conflict with diplomacy and partnership
  • Exceptional organization, attention to detail and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with a minimum level of supervision
