Principal Mechanical Engineer

Insight Global is seeking a Principal Mechanical Engineer to join the leading manufacturer of access lift equipment in Orrville, OH. This individual will play a crucial role in developing customized telehandlers for the agriculture industry. The Principal Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for high-level engineering analysis, design, re-design, validation, and troubleshooting of complex components for telehandler equipment. This role involves providing integration and execution support for vehicle and component design, as well as offering technical mentorship in the analysis and design of new and modified components and subsystems, all in accordance with engineering standards and project scope.

Must Haves:

-Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field

-6 to 10 years of experience as Mechanical Engineer, Design Engineer, Analysis Engineer or in related role within the agricultural, automobile, construction or heavy equipment industries

-Strong proficiency in CREO/Windchill or similar

-Extensive knowledge in structural, hydraulic, testing and development design

Plusses:

-2+ years modern agricultural equipment industry experience

-Strong experience in new product development or equipment prototyping

-Strong hands-on mechanical skills
