Position Summary
The Inventory Associate will be responsible for receiving, checking, recording, organizing, and storing stock as it is received. Taking inventory of stock and products and ensuring that they are safely and properly stored as well as dispatching and loading goods out of the warehouse for delivery.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Learn and become proficient in Fishbowl software
- Learn maintenance reliability concepts (reliability training)
- Cycle counts weekly on sections
- Follow up daily on parts issued
- Put received parts in correct locations and create new locations for new parts
- Ship, receive, and control all parts out for service, machined/fabricated parts
- Keep all parts locations in racks properly identified and organized
- Use a forklift to utilize pallet racking inventory system
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- 1-3 years of warehouse experience
- Forklift certification
- Ability to work well with others
- Be thorough and great attention to detail
- Ability to organize time and workload
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Ability to work well with your hands
- Must be self-sufficient and motivated
- Ability to accept criticism and work well under pressure
- Be flexible and open to change
Desired Skills
- 3-5 years of warehouse experience
- Familiarity with Fishbowl
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Must be able to sit, crawl and climb occasionally
- Must be able to sit, stand, and handle/manipulate equipment continuously
- Must be able to lift 10-50 lbs. regularly and over 50 lbs. occasionally
- Must be able to walk around 15,000 steps a day
