The Position: We’re looking for a drafting technician with experience using AutoCAD and Revit in the architectural and/or structural consulting industry.

Requirements:

  • Ability to read and understand architectural and structural drawings for building projects.
  • A minimum of an Associate Degree or Technical Certificate in Computer Aided Design (CAD).
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook.
  • Proficiency in Bluebeam Revu is highly valued.
  • US citizenship and a valid US driver's license is required.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare structural design drawings (plans and details) for building projects.
  • Prepare repair drawings (plans and details) for forensic projects.
  • Perform site field work.
  • Willingness to use problem solving skills for the creation of structural designs with atypical framing configurations.
  • Work directly with design engineers to develop a workable and constructible construction package.
  • Work directly with clients to coordinate client standards on drawings.
  • Willingness to foster and mentor cooperative education and internship students learning AutoCAD and/or Revit.
  • Willingness to work with a variety of clients and be challenged with diverse project types.
