Project Manager - Daytona Capital

Job Overview:

We are excited to invite a highly motivated and outgoing individual to join our team here at Daytona Capital as a Project Manager. 

Daytona Capital is an investment company that speculates in capital and real markets, with a significant segment of The Company's investments being in the residential real estate space. Founded in 2022, we are local to Kansas City, and headquartered in Lees Summit, and are seeking someone to join the team in its accelerating growth.  

As a key member of our company, you will play a crucial role in driving our business forward by managing The Company's construction projects throughout the greater Kansas City Area. 

Compensation:

Base Pay: $80,000/year

Discretionary Bonus: Employee also may be eligible for a bonus from time to time for his/her services during the Term. Employee's eligibility to receive a bonus, any determination to award Employee such a bonus and, if awarded, the amount thereof shall be in Employer's sole discretion.

Benefits: During the employment period term, the employer shall be entitled to participate in any employee benefit plan that the Company has adopted or may adopt, maintain or contribute to for the benefit of its employees generally, subject to satisfying the applicable eligibility requirements, and except to the extent such plans are duplicative of the benefits otherwise provided hereunder. The Employee's participation will be subject to the terms of the applicable plan documents and generally applicable Company policies. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the Company may modify or terminate any employee benefit plan at any time. 

Responsibilities:

  1. Leads projects from the initial scope of work and estimate stage through final project completion and close.
  2. Oversees project execution, ensuring cost, schedule, and quality goals are met.
  3. Establishes and maintains project budgets, master schedules, and procurement plans.
  4. Manages scope of work, material and labor costs, schedule, and quality control.
  5. Supervises Project Engineers, Construction Managers, Laborers and Site Superintendents for assigned projects.
  6. Negotiates and executes prime contracts, CM contracts, subcontracts, and change orders.
  7. Reviews and approves internal and external reports, including scheduling, budgeting, cash flow forecasts, and project status updates.
  8. Builds and maintains vendor relationships while serving as the main point of contact with sub contractors and material suppliers.
  9. Obtaining city and/or municipality work permits, as needed

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent experience required.
  2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction project management.
  3. Proven ability to plan, lead, and safely complete construction projects.
  4. Strong business development mindset with a proactive approach.
  5. Demonstrated history of delivering successful and profitable projects.
  6. Has obtained or has ability to obtain Class A General Contractor license within first 3 months of employment
  7. Ability to manage multiple crews to ensure smooth and efficient workflow and a healthy team environment 

Working Conditions:

This role encompasses work largely in the field, while having a dedicated office space, and the ability to work remotely from time to time on a case by case basis. As Project Manager, you will spend time in the field, actively visiting worksites and interacting with subcontractors face-to-face. Additionally, part of your responsibilities will be carried out from our office or remote locations for administrative tasks. Flexibility in working hours is essential to accommodate project schedules. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000 + 50% employer paid health insurance

Experience level:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent experience required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction project management.
  • Has obtained or has ability to obtain Class A General Contractor license within first 3 months of employment

Supplemental pay types:

  • Base pay

Weekly day range:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed
  • Working hours must be flexible (avg. 40 hrs/week)
