Join our team as a Junior Accountant who will manage posting journal entries, preparing financial statements, and maintaining accounts (receivables and/or payables). This position will require administering monthly reports for all accounts to show the progress made throughout each month. Key Responsibilities:

  • Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
  • Update accounts receivable and issue invoices
  • Update accounts payable and perform reconciliations
  • Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines
  • Assist with the reviewing of expenses, payroll records etc. as assigned
  • Update financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed
  • Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports
  • Assist senior accountant in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings
  • Assist with other accounting projects


Skills:

  • Proficiency in and a high-level understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
  • Proven experience as an Accountant or Junior Accountant
  • Hands-on experience with payroll softwares, such as ADP Workforce Now
  • Demonstrated financial acumen in analyzing financial data and audits
  • A high level of discretion and integrity when handling sensitive Company-related and employee-related information and knowledge


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Accounting or a relevant field
  • Proven 3+ years of experience as an Accountant or Junior Accountant
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures and principles
  • Experience with creating financial statements and invoicing
  • Excellent accounting software user (such as QuickBooks) and administration skills and technologies (ADP Workforce Now, Microsoft Excel including Vlookups and pivot tables, etc.)
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Aptitude for numbers and quantitative/qualitative skills
  • This is a fully in-person position and no options for hybrid/remote work


Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPA or CMA preferred
