JOB OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a highly skilled NEPA Coordinator to join our dynamic team in Bloomfield Hills. The NEPA Coordinator will serve a critical role by providing the team and clients with an evaluation of the environmental and related social and economic effects of proposed projects. The individual in this role will have an opportunity to build relationships with communities in Michigan.

LOCATION: Bloomfield Hills, MI

SCHEDULE: Hybrid (4 Days Onsite/1 Day Remote)

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Follow the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) for design projects.
• Follow the State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) for design projects.
• Coordinate submittal of all required documents.
• Work with multiple groups at the company to gather the required submittal documents.
• Ensure projects are following these regulations.
• Conducts reviews of local, state, and federal policies, as needed.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in NEPA coordination.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to participate in a team-oriented environment as well as function independently.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Research and analytical skills with an attention to detail.
• Ability to stay organized and keep track of multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Responsive to requests from multiple entities within and outside of HRC.
• Dedication to meeting deadlines.
• Understanding of transportation related projects and construction.
