Responsibilities
- Lay-out, fabricate and weld piping systems on job sites, in accordance with project designs and specifications
- Specialize in welding pipe joints and welding by fabrication, repair, and installation of boilers, pressure vessels, piping, and other components as directed
- Be proficient in the use of welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, and stick welding of mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum
- Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Prepare parts for welding, positioning, and clamping them together to secure in place, and join them using various welding techniques
- Perform welding repairs on piping and other metal components
- Maintain good housekeeping and maintenance, ensuring a safe and clean work environment
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- A minimum of three (3) years' experience in a pipe welding role
- Excellent understanding of welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, and Stick
- Ability to read and interpret technical plans and blueprints
- Excellent hand-eye coordination, attention to detail, and the ability to work with precision
- Knowledge of safety standards and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent time management and organizational skills to work efficiently and effectively with team members and job site supervisors
