We are looking for a Senior Graphic Designer to bring design solutions to life in line with client marketing strategies and business goals. As a senior member of our team, you will be responsible for print layouts, trade show booth design, illustrations, logo design, digital imagery, email designs, and more, requiring creativity, technical skills, and a strong understanding of design principles.

 

Responsibilities

  • Designing and illustrating (digital and/or traditional) from concept to completion as required.
  • Developing original graphics and designs while demonstrating a thorough understanding of copyright and intellectual property
  • Collaborating with art director/copywriter teams to conceptualize and complete assigned projects and campaigns.
  • Assisting account teams with presentations for creative and new business pitches.
  • Working with independent contractors (freelance illustrators, photographers, etc.) as needed per assignment, under the supervision of the designated art director/creative director and in conjunction with the production manager/supervisor to meet assigned deadlines.
  • Maintaining high skill levels in software programs required to perform assigned job functions; taking training in the use of new design and illustration software as required by the agency.
  • Assisting in archiving and maintaining digital files, project hard copies, photography, illustrations, logo art, typestyles, historical collateral samples, etc., of client materials and resources, and maintaining a log of said archives to assist other department members in locating necessary files and references.
  • Maintaining current computer software skills compatible with the needs of other creative team members.
  • Notifying designated purchasing personnel or creative director when hardware/software requires updating or servicing.
  • Maintaining internal and off-site digital file backups for in-progress jobs; uploading completed project files to the agency's Digital Asset Management archive system.
  • Maintaining a reasonable inventory of necessary art supplies for fulfilling design responsibilities.


Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Adobe Suite applications such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, as well as Microsoft Suite applications like PowerPoint, Word, and Excel, along with other relevant industry design and production software.
  • Knowledge of printing processes and specifications; paper specification; ink specification.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the latest trends and techniques in typestyles, type design, and type specification; photography and illustration; and computer retouching and image manipulation.
  • Ability to work well independently and as a key member of client account teams.
  • Flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Clear and concise communication skills.
  • Great time management skills.
  • Expertise in visual storytelling to bring ideas to life and create impactful narratives that transcend the limitations of text alone.
