Location: Bolingbrook, IL (100% on-site)

NO RELOCATION

Salary: $95k/yr-$105k/yr w. bonus

Must have: Engineering Degree with 3D design experience (prefer Creo)


Looking for a full time Machine Design Engineer for a large manufacture in Bolingbrook, IL. In this role you will be responsible for managing cross-functional project delivering a CI for safety, quality, delivery, and cost through the elimination of ware from the production processes.


Duties:

  • Manage Manufacturing Engineering projects, developing detailed project plans with estimated task hours and timelines for development, production, validation, and launch, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
  • Supervise research and development of new manufacturing equipment, processes, standard operating procedures, and work instructions.
  • Enhance manufacturing processes by reviewing all engineering deliverables for technical accuracy and adherence to standards and project schedules.
  • Collaborate with Design Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to ensure design for manufacturability of new products, participating in the design review process, and acting as a liaison from inception to customer shipment.
  • Contribute to new product launches by reviewing designs, working with design engineering to enhance manufacturability, reduce manufacturing costs, and improve process reliability.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, analyze capital equipment needs for new technologies and business requirements, and plan and implement capital projects.
  • Design and implement error-proofing tooling and fixtures to eliminate waste and enhance safety in the manufacturing process.



Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, or a related Engineering field.
  • Over 5 years of experience, including expertise in small machine/fixture design or automated machine design.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling, with preference given to experience with Creo.
