Salisbury Animal Hospital is a privately owned and operated group with 3 clinic locations: Salisbury Animal Hospital, West Innes Animal Hospital, and South Rowan Animal Hospital located in Salisbury, NC and China Grove, NC.

We have 17 full-time veterinarians with over 60 supporting staff members. Our clinics are WALK-IN ONLY, which offers first rate service to our clients along with high volume caseload. 

Animals are routinely dropped off for surgery and urgent care visits, our hospital team then distributes cases to our doctors in the treatment area. This allows our doctors ample time to work up each case, perform necessary diagnostics, collaborate together, and start a treatment plan or surgical/sedation as needed. 

Veterinarians work 37 hours per week with a 1 hour lunch break from 1-2pm (all three clinics close from 1-2 pm for lunch). Weekend hospital shifts divided between doctors with on average 2 hospital weekends per year.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site Associate Veterinarian role in Salisbury Animal Hospital located in either China Grove or Salisbury, NC. The associate position available offers a challenging and rewarding job with opportunities to manage various surgical and medical cases. Our cases vary from urgent care/emergencies, internal medicine, wellness preventative care, routine and emergency surgeries, and companion exotic medicine. 

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from accredited veterinary college
• Licensure in North Carolina or ability to obtain licensure in North Carolina
• Experience in small animal medicine and surgery
• Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a large team environment
