Our client, a dynamic player in the food manufacturing sector, is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Manager to oversee the efficient operation and maintenance of production equipment and facilities. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in maintenance management within a food manufacturing environment, with a strong emphasis on team leadership and operational excellence.

Focus:

  • Lead and manage the maintenance team, ensuring efficient operations and minimal machine downtime.
  • Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to uphold equipment reliability.
  • Oversee the interviewing and selection process for maintenance personnel, fostering a strong team environment.
  • Plan and coordinate plant capital projects while ensuring adherence to safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and ensure compliance with city and state building codes, OSHA requirements, and food safety regulations.
  • Provide training and mentorship to maintenance staff, promoting continuous improvement and skill development.
  • Ensure professional communication within the organization and across departments to align maintenance goals with overall operational objectives.


Skill Set:

  • A minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in maintenance, with at least 4 years in a management position in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Mechanics or a related field, or relevant technical certifications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with hands-on experience in equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of various maintenance disciplines, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
  • Proven ability to solve complex problems and manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Experience in food safety practices, including SQF auditing and compliance.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop a diverse team.
