Contract Administrator - Essingtopn, PA. / Coatesville, PA. (100% onsite)

(Must be Citizen or Green card holder)

Responsible for the administration, extension, termination and negotiation of standard and nonstandard contracts in accordance with company procedures.


Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.
  • Examine estimates of material, equipment services, production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare bids; process specifications, progress, and other reports; advise management of contractual rights and obligations; compile and analyze data; and maintain historical information.
  • Apply Federal statutes, the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) to administer a group of complex contracts
  • Use negotiation and communication techniques in order to conduct post award negotiations and a variety of contractual agreements
  • Apply cost and price analysis techniques sufficient to compare proposals
  • Apply business and industry practices to identify factors affecting contractor’s costs
  • Apply cost accounting standards and accounting practices in order to review and draw accurate conclusions on contract provisions


ABILITIES:

  • 3+ years experience in aerospace/defense with overall knowledge of defense contracts
  • Ability to interpret completion specifications and work orders
  • Ability to establish, track and maintain current status of aircraft in work relative to contractual specifications and requirements
  • Knowledge of FARS and DFARS.
  • Microsoft Office to include Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Experience with Deltek Costpoint, preferred


EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS / CLEARANCES:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, legal studies, pre-law, or a relevant field; master’s degree preferred
  • Juris doctorate is a plus.
