Duration: Remainder of the school year

Overview:

Dublin Unified School District is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher (Resource Specialist Program - RSP) to join our team. This full-time position serves students in Transitional Kindergarten (TK) through Grade 5 and is essential in supporting their individual learning needs.

Schedule:

  • Hours: 35 hours per week, 7 hours per day
  • Bell Schedule:
  • Monday and Tuesday: 8:15 AM – 2:55 PM
  • Wednesday through Friday: 8:15 AM – 1:55 PM (staff remains on campus until 2:55 PM)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to meet the needs of students.
  • Provide direct instruction and support to students in TK through Grade 5 in alignment with district standards and curriculum.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, staff, and families to ensure student success in the least restrictive environment.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, maintaining accurate records and providing timely updates to stakeholders.
  • Adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports the academic, social, and emotional growth of all students.
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and school-wide activities as required.

Qualifications:

  • Valid California Education Specialist Instruction Credential (Mild/Moderate or equivalent).
  • Experience working with students in grades TK-5 is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of special education laws, processes, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
