Financial Planning and Analysis Manager

Job Overview: As the Manager of FP&A, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis. You will work closely with senior leadership to provide insightful financial guidance and support decision-making processes across the organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex financial concepts in a clear and concise manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Planning & Analysis:
  • Lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to develop detailed budgets and forecasts.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support long-term strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Analyze financial performance against key business metrics and provide actionable insights to senior management.
  • Identify areas for cost optimization and process improvement to enhance overall financial efficiency.
  1. Reporting & Analysis:
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for senior management, highlighting variances against budget and forecast.
  • Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis to support decision-making and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards to monitor business performance and track progress towards strategic goals.
  1. Forecasting & Budgeting:
  • Lead the development of monthly and quarterly financial forecasts, incorporating input from various departments and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with department heads to establish annual budget targets and provide guidance on budget management throughout the fiscal year.
  • Monitor budget-to-actual performance and provide variance analysis to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  1. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Partner with other departments, including Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Human Resources, to align financial planning activities with overall business objectives.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to department heads, providing financial insights and guidance to support their strategic initiatives.
  • Foster a collaborative and cross-functional approach to financial planning and analysis, driving alignment and accountability across the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in financial planning & analysis, with a proven track record of success in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to distill complex financial information into clear and actionable insights.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial planning software; experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision in financial analysis and reporting.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
